Intec Gaming Showcases Time Breaker LightGun™ to More Than 40,000 Gamers at Midwest Gaming Classic 2026

From April 24–26, 2026, Intec Gaming® proudly exhibited at the 25th Anniversary of the Midwest Gaming Classic (MGC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Held at the Baird Center, the three-day event welcomed more than 40,000 attendees, making it one of the largest retro gaming conventions in North America and a must-visit destination for video game enthusiasts, collectors, developers, and families alike.

Spanning more than 350,000 square feet, Midwest Gaming Classic featured over 200 exhibitors, 100+ industry guests, free-play console and arcade games, pinball tournaments, cosplay, live entertainment, and hands-on experiences celebrating every generation of gaming.

For Intec Gaming, it was our biggest Midwest Gaming Classic yet.

Two Booths, One Mission: Making Classic Gaming Accessible

Located in the Game Center near the entrance, Intec Gaming® operated two exhibitor booths, giving attendees the opportunity to experience both our current products and exciting new innovations.

Our booths were surrounded by some of the show’s biggest attractions, including the Video Game Stage, Gaming Museum, arcade and pinball machines, and neighboring exhibitors such as TUBBZ, creating an exciting hub for retro gaming fans all weekend long.

Whether visitors stopped by to relive childhood memories or introduce their children to the games they grew up with, our goal remained the same:

Making classic gaming accessible for today’s players.

xclusive Intec Gaming Tote Bags

To celebrate Midwest Gaming Classic, every customer who visited our booth received a limited-edition Intec Gaming tote bag, available in three pastel colors:

  • Pale Yellow
  • Seafoam Green
  • Lavender
Throughout the weekend, it was exciting to see our branded bags carried throughout the convention floor, becoming part of the colorful atmosphere of MGC.

Our First Public NES Time Breaker LightGun™ Prototype Demo

One of the biggest highlights of Midwest Gaming Classic 2026 was unveiling the first public demonstration of our Time Breaker LightGun™ prototype for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).

Using original NES game cartridges together with Intec Gaming’s NES Console, attendees experienced classic NES LightGun gameplay on a modern HDTV—without sacrificing the nostalgic gameplay that made these titles legendary.

The response was incredible.

Long lines formed throughout the weekend as parents and their children eagerly waited for their turn to play Duck Hunt, many introducing the next generation to one of Nintendo’s most iconic games for the very first time.

Watching parents share childhood memories while their kids experienced Duck Hunt on a modern television perfectly captured why we love building products for the retro gaming community.

Moments like these remind us that great games transcend generations.

Wireless Time Breaker LightGun™ Continues to Impress

Attendees also had the opportunity to experience the wireless Time Breaker LightGun™ for PSX and PS2, designed to bring classic light gun gaming back to modern televisions.

Popular arcade shooters like Time Crisis kept players coming back throughout the weekend, allowing gamers to experience responsive wireless gameplay without requiring a CRT television.

Whether visitors were longtime arcade veterans or first-time players, seeing the excitement on their faces reinforced our commitment to preserving the magic of light gun gaming.

Christopher Sean Stops by the Intec Gaming® Booth

One of the weekend’s memorable moments came when Christopher Sean, the Emmy-winning voice actor behind Ultraman in Netflix’s Ultraman: Rising and the voice of Kazuda Xiono in Star Wars Resistance, visited the Intec Gaming booth during both Saturday and Sunday while appearing as a featured guest at Midwest Gaming Classic.

Christopher spent time playing Time Crisis on PS2 using our blue wireless Time Breaker LightGun™ and shared his experience in a video testimonial.

We greatly appreciate Christopher taking the time to visit our booth and share the experience with fellow retro gaming fans.

Connecting with Gaming Media & Gamer Event Organizer

Midwest Gaming Classic also gave us the opportunity to connect with some influential members of the gaming media and events.

We were also thrilled to welcome I Play Games (IPG), Old School Gamer Magazine, GenX GrownUp, LightGun Fanatics, and Mega Yoyo who stopped by to experience the Time Breaker LightGun™ firsthand and many walking away with bag in hand.

Building relationships with creators, journalists, and fellow innovators continues to be one of the most rewarding parts of attending events like MGC.

More Than a Gaming Convention

Midwest Gaming Classic continues to be much more than a convention—it is a celebration of gaming culture across generations.

Beyond the exhibitor hall, attendees enjoyed attractions including:

  • The iconic Batman vehicle display

  • ACW Wrestling

  • The Midwest Gaming Classic Cosplay Championship Finals

  • Escape Rooms

  • Competitive pinball tournaments

  • Hundreds of free-to-play arcade and console games

  • Industry panels and presentations

For attendees looking to extend the experience even further, the convention’s Very Important Gamer (VIG) pass offered exclusive perks including early access, access to gaming rooms after general admission hours, and the official Saturday night after-party, creating an unforgettable weekend for dedicated gaming enthusiasts.

Thank You, Midwest Gaming Classic

With more than 40,000 gamers filling the halls of the Baird Center, Midwest Gaming Classic 2026 was an unforgettable milestone for Intec Gaming.

Seeing long lines for our NES Time Breaker LightGun™ prototype, watching families experience Duck Hunt together, reconnecting with longtime supporters, meeting new fans, and sharing our latest innovations reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

To everyone who visited our booth, played our demos, supported our products, interviewed our team, or simply stopped by to say hello—

Thank you.

Your enthusiasm continues to inspire us as we develop new ways to bring classic gaming into the modern era.
